Head coach Steve Lubrino said, “I am really looking forward to the championship meets, the kids have worked hard during this shortened season due to COVID-19.”

District championships will be held on Friday, Oct. 23 at 12 p.m. at the Sarasota YMCA.

The night before districts, the team will host a dinner, directly after their practice. All members of the swim team can attend, even if they did not qualify for the district swim meet.

“Everyone is going to be pushing themselves to the limit right up until the final race,” said Lubrino.

After districts, the regional meet will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31 at the North Shore Aquatic Center, and the state meet will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Sailfish Splash Waterpark and Aquatic Center.
