Isabella Estrada– Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS Lakewood Leaders community service club is heading to their annual Christmas event, Project Manatee, Tuesday.
Project Manatee is put on every year by the club and gives students the opportunity to gain volunteer hours and work with underprivileged kids. Students will spend an hour working with kids at Manatee Elementary School.
Members of Lakewood Leaders will be given the opportunity to play various games and activities with the children such as kickball, duck-duck goose, and cookie decorating.
“I am very excited to be able to work with elementary students,” said LRHS sophomore Megan Scully, “It is a great opportunity to give the students a fun start to the holidays.”
