(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- On Oct. 27, the Mustang football team lost their senior night game and their shot of making the playoffs after falling to the Sarasota Sailors 34-0.

LRHS managed to cycle seniors at almost every position on this senior night.

Because of the end of the freshman/JV season, LRHS brought up multiple young players to dress for the game.

Freshman Linebacker Kade Reyher, who was brought up to dress for the game, said, “We played really hard and it’s tough that we missed the playoffs, but we’re still a team and we’re going to come back strong next week.”

Yet again, senior tight-end Mickey Koczersut excelled with his ability to makes plays on the ball. Junior Caleb Browner recorded the only interception of the night for LRHS.

This was the final home game of the season, giving the Mustangs one more chance to finish the season .500 against the DeSoto Bulldogs.  The game is scheduled for Nov. 3.
