(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS’s varsity football team experienced a tough loss to Venice High last Friday.  The final score was 66-7.

Senior running back Eli Daniels scored a 39-yard down in the first quarter, giving the Mustangs an early 7-6 lead.

After trailing for the first half of the game, Venice came out in the second half to score 60 unanswered points, leaving the Mustangs behind.

Football Coach Rashad West said, “Losing such a tough game gave us a chance to see how much work we must do as a program. I am looking forward to putting the loss behind us and getting back to work as we prepare to play Hollins.”

The varsity football team’s next game is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, at St. Petersburg Hollins.
