(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Friday’s LRHS Homecoming football game was delayed until 9 p.m. due to an unexpected thunderstorm. The LRHS Mustangs recorded another crowd-pleasing victory, defeating the Springstead Eagles 23-21.

On the first offensive play, LRHS senior Mason Fischer had a huge run for the Mustangs.  Senior quarterback Justin Curtis ran circles around the Eagles towards the end of the half where he scored a touchdown, although it was called back due to a holding penalty. Chase Sharp had a huge run resulting in a touchdown for the Mustangs.

Senior Mickey Koczersut had multiple receptions and caught a touchdown. The LRHS Mustangs are on a 2-0 winning streak. The next game will be Sept. 28 at Palmetto High School.
