(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS is partnering with “Who We Play For” to host a Free Physical Day as well as an Athletic Council being created for next school year.

Free Physical Day is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. June 3 in the LRHS gymnasium.

Athletes must follow the time slots:

  • Fall and Winter Sports- 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
  • Football- 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Spring Sports- 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“Who We Play for” will also host a Heart Screening Event on June 13 in the LRHS gymnasium for $20.

Heart Screening will consist of a Pediatric cardiologist reading electrocardiogram (ECG) for athletes.

A parent must be present at both events.

Meanwhile, LRHS is creating an Athletic Council for the upcoming school year.

For student-athletes to serve, they must have at least a 3.0 Grade Point Average, leadership skills, and be a multi-sport athlete.

LRHS Athletic Director Kent Ringquist said, “I would like the council to represent the many sports we have at our school.”
