(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The family of LRHS Jon Riley Cooper has received donations made by members of the LRHS community after losing everything in a devastating house fire.
LRHS choir director Rebekah Lester set up a fundraiser for the family.
The choir, teachers, staff, and parents of LRHS raised $1,825 in donations plus clothes, shoes, and backpacks for the family.
“The money will be a big help while the house is being rebuilt,” Cooper said. “We thank you for all the donations and support from friends, family, and neighbors. It’s hard accommodating to where we are living now, and it will be hard for a while but with everybody’s support it will make the transition smoother.”
