Maggie Sugalski – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Last week’s LRHS Teacher Appreciation Week was successful.

Throughout the week, teachers were given daily treats, including Wednesday’s free cookies, Tuesday’s hero-themed breakfast and Thursday’s Publix chicken lunch.

The week also consisted of a raffle for teachers.

Discipline Dean Dr. Debra Shannon said, “I am thankful to everyone who made this week special. Congratulations to all the Raffle winners!”

Permanent Substitute Erika White said, “I received several Teacher Appreciation letters from students. I am so appreciative and thankful for the teachers and staff who helped put this amazing week together for us. It was a wonderful week!”

Bryon Stedman, a LRHS TV production teacher said, “(former LRHS music teacher) Steve Terry once told me that real men eat a whole box of Publix chicken. Thanks so much for all that has gone on this week for Teacher Appreciation Week.”

LRHS Spanish teacher Ana Plechy said that she had begun to run out of steam, but after teacher appreciation week, she will make it to the finish line.

Principal Dustin Dahlquist said, “We …want to thank- (Senior Secretary) Ms. Yesika Salcido, The Parent Association, and all those who supported our Teacher Appreciation Week! They went way above and beyond!”
