(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – An LRHS math teacher has been nominated Teacher of the Year.

Rennie Finke has just been nominated for the Hale Law Teacher of the Year Campaign.

Nominations are made by anyone in the community, and the winner will be decided by the vote of the community.

Finke said, “It was a surprise.  I was nominated by the administration team. (Assistant principal Jeanne) Galindo wrote a very nice application and submitted my name.”

The reward is a prize of $1,000.00.

Voting started on May 12 and will continue to May 19. Voting is limited to one per person.

Finke added, “It is always nice to hear that you are making a difference and it is being noticed.  I hear it from my students frequently as I am blessed to teach a real-world relevant class. Having those on the outside recognize the work I put into this is nice.”
