Emma Chapman- Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Empty Bowls fundraiser has ended. The amount of money raised will be released next week.

All funds will go to Manatee Meals on Wheels Plus.

Last year, LRHS art teacher Laura Victore’s class sold over 150 bowls and raised over $2,000 in proceeds for a local food bank in Manatee County.

Students can go to room 509 to pick up left-over bowls. All bowls should be taken home by Friday.

Victore said, “Last year each student made one bowl.  We had a total of 300 bowls. This year students teamed up to make more creative bowls so there were less in total but they were more interesting and more creative.”

Victore continued, “Students have made some very special bowls this year and donated their talents to help families with food insecurity right here in our community.”
