(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS On the Job Training (OJT) acceptance letters have been delivered to Mustangs.  Applications for 2023-24 were due last month.

OJT is a school/work program for upperclassmen that allows them to leave school early to further their educational and professional goals.

LRHS business technology teacher Joseph Cuervo controls the OJT program.

Cuervo said, “It allows them to use the extra time outside of school to work and complete school assignments.”

Mustangs in OJT will be in Cuervo’s first period class, Career Principals, where they learn career centered information.

Usually, the class sections are capped at 25, but they had several applications for the upcoming school year, so school officials scheduled two sections instead of one.
