(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) testing takes place this week at LRHS. The FAST is the state reading test given to ALL 9th and 10th grade students.

There is one 120-minute session for this test.

LRHS Principal Dustin Dahlquist said students need to take the test very seriously.

“The results of this exam are very important for our students and our school,” he said.  “We have high expectations for our students and are confident in their abilities to perform at their best.”

He added students can take several steps to help themselves succeed.

“All students should get a good night’s rest and arrive to school early,” he pointed out.  “Students also need to eat breakfast and lunch.  Breakfast is served every morning at LRHS and is free for all students.”
