Senior Mustangs are two-time state champions

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS’s varsity softball celebrated Senior Night Tuesday.

The seniors were honored before the game with a ceremony and flowers from the coaches.

The girls walked down the field with their families, and while they walked, speeches recorded by the seniors were played for all to hear.

This year’s seniors lead the Mustangs to state championships in 2021 and 2022.

The graduating Mustangs this year include –

  • Amanda Lee
  • Naomi Whinery
  • Natalie Crestani
  • Alli Thomas

The girls won the game 3-2, against McKeel Academy.

“Last night was a bittersweet feeling. I am sad that my time here as a Mustang is almost over, but I am excited for what is in store at University of Florida (where she has committed),” said McLellan.

The Mustangs play their last regular season game 7 p.m. Thursday against Bishop Verot at home.
