(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Mustang athletes celebrate signing day Wednesday as they move on to the collegiate athletic level.
Mustang athletes committed themselves to officially play college sports for their respective schools.
Gabrielle Madrid, who will be attending West Virginia’s Fairmont State to play soccer, said, “Fairmont has a turf field and big stadium which I’m looking forward to playing on.”
Madrid was also excited about meeting new people adding “Going into college it’s like an instant family because everyone is together and in the same boat.”
Julia Magno is excited about having the opportunity to continue playing.
“The thing I’m most excited about is mostly that I can keep playing.”
Magno is set to play soccer for Northwestern State in Louisiana.

Cole Dement is set to play baseball for State College of Florida and had friends and teammates come out and support him.
Mykelah Davis is committing to Tennessee’s Milligan University for flag football and also had family to cheer her on.
Danielle Vogel, another soccer player looking forward to college, was happy about staying close to home. Vogel is planning to play for Southeastern University in Lakeland and said, “Staying in state is lot better”
Lauren Hosier is planning to play golf for Southeastern University and is excited about developing her game and meeting new teammates.
“Competing with new friends and practicing and using what I’ve learned are what I’m most looking forward to,” she said.
