(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – With so many extracurricular activities going on this time of year, LRHS has decided to give something new a chance. The school’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) was recently involved in an event called “Marketing on Main.”

“Marketing on Main” is an interactive event that allows local business owners to talk to people and to get them interested in the products or services of their company.

Events usually take place in Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch seasonally. The last “Marketing on Main” was held in Lakewood Ranch on March 29.

Four FBLA members from LRHS helped sell tickets at the door on the last Marketing on Main, and the event lasted about three hours.

This money is donated to charities around Florida and the goal is to raise more money than at the last event. The latest Marketing on Main raised around $400 for the Donors of Distinction.

Gianna Krammer, one of the founders of Marketing on Main, said, “27 businesses showcased their products or services, one nonprofit and 177 business professionals were a part of Marketing on Main.”

Every event has a theme and most people come dressed accordingly. The last “Marketing on Main”’s theme was western. People put on their best hats and boots and attended the event.

At the end of the event prizes were awarded for having the best boots or being best dressed and some people got to promote their business by talking about it to the whole crowd.

The next “Marketing on Main” is scheduled for June 28, 2023, and everyone is welcome.
