(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS has introduced iced coffee for all Mustangs each morning.

The idea was put into place by the nutritionists at the school district’s Food & Nutrition office with the hopes of energizing the students throughout the day.

The Food & Nutrition office also hopes that the coffee will convince more students to eat when they get to school.

LRHS cafeteria manager Amanda Farrelly said, “The purpose is to entice more students to have breakfast with us.”

The coffee will run until the end of the school year, with hopes to serve coffee into the next school year.

There are two machines, coffee, flavored syrup, cups, lids, and stickers for cups.

In the program’s first day 97 coffees were sold.
