There have also been Individual State Championships. Athletic Director Kent Ringquist said, “there have been 36 individual state championships.”

It is difficult to win a State Championship. Ringquist also said, “Every team has a common goal of winning districts. Sometimes you might have a team that has the ability to go all the way. Many things must come into play to make it happen.”

Junior Grace Shaw-Rockey is a member of the defending state softball champs.

“It was a great feeling to win two straight state championships,” she said. “This year we are definitely taking a different path than the last two seasons, but we can still prevail to win another state championship.”
