Senior class hears from motivational speaker

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Thursday author and speaker Brooks Harper came to LRHS to speak to seniors about the importance of getting hired for a job and turning your learning to earning.

Harper held Mustangs’ attention by sharing stories and experiences along his journey of turning his passion into his career. 

“It was very motivational, funny, inspiring, and helped me prepare for life after high school when it comes to working,” said senior Jennifer Shank.

Harper highlighted the key points and importance of setting goals and pursuing them with dedication and hard work.

As they left, mustangs were gifted a copy of one of Harpers books, “Why should We Hire YOU?”

The book states, “Brooks guides and inspires you in the ever-changing job market to discover, develop network and sell your talent, skills and abilities that bring a tangible value to the workforce.”
