(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS media center has been renovated and is available to all Mustangs.

The media center was under renovation from early last year.   The renovation was designed to modernize and improve the library’s appeal.

The center now has new furniture, bookcases, new carpeting, and fresh paint.

The library is open from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Mustangs will be able to go to the library at all times except for A lunch.

LRHS Media Center Specialist Audrey Dombroski enjoys seeing kids in the library.

Dombroski said, “I like a busy library filled with students.”

She pointed out the media center serves many functions.

“The media center has multiple purposes: checking out textbooks and books for pleasure reading, a place to gather for students, a place to read and sometimes take a state test, and one day your teacher may choose to teach in the media center, too.”

LRHS senior Jennifer Schillinger is a library aid this year.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time working in the library and learned a lot about properly organizing my files,” Schillinger said.
