Summer Araujo – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Thursday night, the LRHS National Honors Society (NHS) held its induction ceremony for their new members. Around 85 Mustangs were welcomed into NHS.
Club Adviser and LRHS English teacher Tracy Gregory conducted the ceremony. The ceremony began with all the new members filing into their seats. Gregory then went on to introduce LRHS Principal Dustin Dahlquist for his speech to the new members and parents.
Then current NHS members gave speeches regarding the four pillars of the National Honors Society – service, character, scholarship and leadership.

Current Vice-President Tess Lippincott, junior, said, “I’m super excited to be working with all the members next year and to have more people to help out the community.”
With new members in the club, NHS will be able to give more back to the community.
Inductee Sarah Mullin said, “I feel excited since I get to be a part of a club that so many people worked so hard for and get to take part in a larger purpose outside of just being a student.”
