(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS math teacher Ann Fleury won local congressman Vern Buchanan’s Congressional Teaching Award.

Every year, a handful of teachers in Buchanan’s congressional district are nominated to receive the award. Fleury was one of this year’s winners.

Fleury said, “I work with an outstanding group of teachers here at the LRHS and I am just one of many that deserve this award and am honored that I have been recognized for this prestigious award.
