Angel Markoski – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Spring break is over and the LRHS Track and Field team is ready to continue the season.
The team is traveling to Charlotte High School, Punta Gorda to compete on Friday.
Before spring break, on Thursday, March 9, the team had a meet at North Port High School.
Two Mustangs ranked top five in the Javelin, earning the Mustangs points. Junior Levi Freed placed first with a 152-ft throw and Senior Tony Lenchinsky placed fifth with a 132-ft throw.
Over spring break, the team had two hard practices on Wednesday, March 15, and Friday, March 17.

When the team returned to the track after spring break, the junior varsity team started preparing for the freshmen/sophomore Championship.
The Championship took place at Palmetto High School. The girls came in fourth place and the boys took third place.
The girls helped the team get points by getting second place in the 4×800 meter relay with a time of 12:57.
Sophomore Derek Robinson got 10 points for the team by placing first in the boys 800-meter run with a time of 2:04
