(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Stellar Xplorers have once again placed within the top 30% of the country at a recent competition.

LRHS finished 78th out of 184 teams who participated nationally.

Club adviser and LRHS science teacher Daniel Goodman said, “I’m really quite happy with how the team did this season. They’re always hard workers and I think they did an excellent job this year.”

The teams are already preparing for next year’s competition. This includes study and practice using information and materials provided through the Stellar Xplorers web site.

The study and practice focus on the STK simulator provided by Stellar Xplorers and Excel spreadsheet are the primary two tools used during competitions, which challenge students to work through various  space mission scenarios.
