Michelle Rodriguez – Mustangs Ahead 

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Technology Student Association (TSA) competed at the state conference from Wednesday, Feb. 22 to Saturday, February 25. 

They won eighth in the state and took home four trophies. 

The team brought about 30 Mustangs to the competition. 

The following members placed in these categories:   

First place – 

  • Biotechnology 
  • Senior Anna Miller 
  • Senior Josh Holler 
  • Senior Spencer Hickman 
  • Sophomore Jude Limon 
  • Forensic Science 
  • Junior Natalie Cooksey  
  • Junior Emily Salambash 

Second place – 

  • Extemporaneous Speech 
  • Junior Natalie Cooksey 
  • Webmaster 
  • Junior Aditya Rao 
  • Sophomore Eduardo Zoppe 
  • Freshman Aidan Hill  
  • Freshman Zachariah Kersey 

The team also placed in the top ten in nine other events.

Miller said, “It’s definitely been a rebuilding year, and I’m really proud of all the kids for the hard work they’ve done. I was excited to end my TSA experience on a good year.”  

Vocational teacher Robert Collier, TV production teacher Bryon Stedman, engineering teacher Bryan Richards, and fine arts teacher Hannah Legere all attended and supervised the team.
