Summer Araujo – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS is hosting a college fair for juniors from 10-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28 in the gym.

This college fair will be hosted by Florida Tour College Fairs.

Three groups of junior will attend. “A-lunch” juniors will attend from 10-12:20 a.m., “B-lunch” juniors will attend from 10:25-10:45 a.m., and “C-lunch” juniors will attend from 10:50-11:15 a.m.

An announcement will be made for the three groups based on the lunch schedules.

All Mustangs attending will go to the gym when this announcement is made for each group.

There will be 41 colleges participating in this fair including Florida State University (FSU) and University of Florida (UF).  LRHS College Counselor Dr. Carmen Purpus suggests Mustangs bring a pen or pencil as they will be handed a handout to ask questions and write down notes if needed.

Junior Joyce Gad said, “I am excited to attend the fair to further explore my college options and ask questions to narrow down my choices.”
