Angel Markoski – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS track and field team visited North Port High School on Friday, Feb. 17 to start an eventful extended weekend.

Many LRHS athletes placed first in their events at the Bobcat Relays.

The boys 4 X 100 relay team (44.46) and the girls 4 X 1600 relay team (24:14.84) both finished first.  Junior Levi Freed won the javelin throw (153-10).

After two days of rest, the Mustangs returned to the track on Monday for a hard practice to get the week started.

The following day the junior varsity (JV) track team visited Manatee High School.  The boys 4 X 800 relay finished first (9:56.91)

The next varsity meet will take place at Sarasota Riverview High School Friday.
