Sienna Zwizinski – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The deadline for Mustangs to turn in 2023 Golden Herald applications is Friday, Feb. 24.  

Applications should be delivered to Manatee Memorial Hospital executive office before 4 p.m.

All applications need to have a reference from a teacher and must be signed by a faculty member.

The Golden Herald offers scholarships for 16 different categories ranging from art to agriculture to general studies.

Senior Kate Tuchman said, “I am applying for the science category because I have focused on the sciences and stem based curricular activities. Clubs, and volunteering has been focused on the medical field and the sciences. It is the best fit for me!”

Interviews will be held in the Executive office in the Manatee Memorial Hospital from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 25. Mustangs must arrive 30 minutes prior to their interview.

The awards ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 13 at the State College of Florida (SCF) performing arts campus.

Senior Jennifer Schillinger said, “I think it’ll be a great scholarship opportunity for a lot of students with many different interests.”
