Michelle Rodriguez – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Technology Student Association (TSA) students are preparing for the 2022-2023 state conference.

The team leaves on Tuesday, Feb. 22. They will return on Sunday, Feb. 26..   Orlando Double Tree Hilton is hosting the conference.

The state conference features a series of competitions for students.

The Mustangs submitted eight events electronically that are currently being evaluated. Each member will participate in 2-5 events to win first, second, or third place.

Sophomore Austin Bruce said, “States is one of the best conferences. I think our chapter is really strong.”

The theme of the conference is “Survivor.”

The team plans to bring home both awards and a “spirit stick.” The spirit stick is awarded to the school with the most passion. Teachers Bryan Richards, Robert Collier, Hannah Leagre, and Byron Stedman will all be LRHS advisers at the conference.

Senior and TSA President Anna Miller said, “I am super excited to go to states this year. It’s definitely been a rebuilding year, and I’m really proud of all the kids for the hard work they’ve done, and I know it’ll pay off at the conference!”
