(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS wind, percussion, and color guard performed at Braden River High School for the FBA District Solo & Ensemble event last weekend.

They earned 60 “Superior” medals for their performances.

14 of their events earned an “Excellent” score, the second highest rating.

Junior Jacob Busby said, “Solo and Ensemble was definitely a cool experience. My group’s performance went fairly well, but it went by much quicker than I expected.

“All that practice leading up and then boom, you’re in and out. The good part is that we ended up getting the highest rating possible, a superior,” he continued.

Twenty of the superior performances (38 Mustangs) qualified for State Solo & Ensemble.

The State Solo & Ensemble will take place on March 20 in Palm Beach County.
