(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) -The LRHS varsity wrestling team finished second in the Manatee County Championship last Saturday at Parrish Community High School.

The varsity team placed second while the junior varsity (JV) team wrestled for Manatee County on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

Mustangs head coach Pat Ancil said, “This group of young men continue to improve at each tournament placing second as a team and crowning one county champion, 182-pound senior Evin Leavy! Thanks to all the parents and students who came out and supported the team. Additionally, thanks for the food and drinks supplied to the team.”

Senior Evin Leavy said, “So glad that I was able to get first place. It was a tough day of wrestling, but I was able to come out victorious.”
