(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Stellar Xplorers team has advanced to the IX semifinal Round in the organization’s national competition.

The StellarXplorers National competition is a fun space system design competition that challenges teams of students to solve orbit planning, satellite component, and launch vehicle selection scenarios in a series of online rounds.

The team advanced due to the cumulative scores from the first three qualifying rounds.

This qualifying team consists of juniors Gianna Davis and Connor Henning, along with seniors Brendon Deglopper, Christopher Knight, and James Leveille.

Gianna Davis said, “My team and I are excited. We are honored that we made it this far. Not many teams make it to semifinals ad we are so excited to see our hard work pay off and hopefully make it to finals.”

The Mustangs will now go on to compete in the semifinals Feb. 16-19.

Stellar Xplorers semifinals will consist of aspects from previous rounds, as well as an Academic quiz.
