Sienna Zwizinski – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Annual Golden Herald Scholarship Deadline is coming up for Mustangs.
According to The Golden Herald brochure, “The Golden Herald Award is given to an individual whose record of achievement and service to school and community best exemplifies the unselfish use of talents and abilities to help others.”
There are 16 different categories to highlight the talents of hard work of all kinds of students.
The categories are Art, Athletics, Business, Citizenship, Computer and technology, Drama, English and literature, foreign language, General Scholarship, Journalism, Mathematics, Music, Science, Social Studies, Speech, and Vocational.
“We would like to have at least two applications per category,” said English teacher Jennifer Grant.
Applications are due Friday, Feb. 24 to Manatee Memorial Hospital.
All applications must be signed by a teacher and a faculty member.

Interviews will be held in the Executive office in the Manatee Memorial Hospital on Saturday, Mar. 25 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Mustangs must arrive 30 minutes prior to their interview.
The awards ceremony will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, Apr. 13 at the State College of Florida (SCF)-Manatee/Sarasota performing arts campus.
