Alivia Insixiengmay – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS welcomes new English teacher Donald Mihalik this month.
Mihalik teaches both English honors and world literature. This is Mihalik’s first time teaching these subjects.
Mihalik said, “I have been in the Corporate World for the last 17 years teaching Business, Philosophy, and Economics.”
Mihalik is new to the public school classroom setting, and expressed that teaching is very rewarding.
Mihalik said, “Being able to contribute to the shaping of our future leaders is nothing less than fulfilling.”
He and his wife have lived in the area for the last 10 years.
“We came to the Lakewood Ranch/Florida area from New Jersey… Friend of ours have a home in Longboat Key and mentioned Lakewood Ranch. Once we visited, that was all it took to make the move here,” Mihalik continued.

Mihalik has a prominent background in business and finance.
While completing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) a few years ago, he expressed satisfaction with his corporate training opportunities.
He said, “I have always been attracted to helping people realize their full potential. I look forward to contributing to the continued success of LRHS.”
