Sienna Zwizinski – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Twelve Mustangs have been chosen for the Honors County Choir this upcoming weekend.

Choir director Rebekah Lester said, “I am very proud of the students that have been selected to participate in the Manasota Honor Choir.”

The following Mustangs were nominated and chosen by Lester:

  • Alexa Jamie
  • Jon Cooper
  • Jeremy Lee
  • Alli Thomas
  • Nicholas Harlin
  • Jack Christie
  • Kaitlyn Gue
  • Carlin Gillen
  • Wilson Tran
  • Kaleb Rae

On Friday, the Mustangs will be at State College of Florida (SCF) practicing from 6-9 p.m.

They plan to practice the entire day on Saturday.

At 6 p.m., there will be a free concert at the SCF Neel Performing Arts Center.

Choir President senior Alli Thomas said, “We learn five songs in two days then perform them!”

Thomas continued, “It’s an honor to learn technique to help us become better!”

The Mustangs will sing alongside 16 other high schools from Manatee, Hillsborough, Sarasota and Pasco counties.

“The kids get to make new friends and collaborate with kids their age,” Lester continued.
