(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Common App tool is one of the most important aspects of the college application process.

The Common App is a program that allows students to bundle their applications and  teacher recommendations.

To access the program Mustangs must make an account for Common App.

Students create a profile that includes the clubs, groups, and organizations they belonged to in high school.

In addition to academic clubs and teams, Mustangs are encouraged to give a good first impression to colleges.

Mustangs involved in clubs and have a strong academic background can separate themselves from other applicants on the app.

Senior Connor McManus said, “When I filled out my common app, I made sure to put as many clubs and organizations that I participated in as possible so that I could show colleges my involvement in and outside of school.”

Senior Katie Foley said, “Overall, adding different clubs and organizations to your common application can improve its quality and demonstrate to colleges that you take pride in your education, and it will make you stand out versus the average applicant.”
