Sophia Bayindiryan -Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) -The LRHS varsity wrestling team finished second in the Bruins Scramble tournament last Saturday at Bayshore High School.
Senior Devlin Loynd placed first in the 145-weight class with an undefeated record of (5-0).
Senior Cody King (160) and junior Thomas Bisordi (182) also placed second in each of their weight classes.
Coach Pat Ancil said, “Compared to the last tournament, the entire team improved greatly, and they wrestled both stronger and more aggressively.
“After wrestling for 4 years, I think especially Devlin Loynd placing first and Cody King placing second, stood out and made lots of progress and peaked at the perfect time during their last season.”
