(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS girls soccer team will be celebrating their seniors this Friday in their last home game of this season.

The game will be against Lemon Bay High School and will start at 7 p.m. At halftime, seniors will be recognized as they walk across the field.

The team has had an impressive season (14-0-1, 3-0 in district), leaving the seniors with a great final year and excited for what’s to come.

“I have made so many memories with this team, so this senior night will be bittersweet. I am very thankful for the endless laughs, fun bus/car rides to games, and the lifelong friendships that I have formed this season,” said Tamlyn Leatt, senior on the team.

Girls soccer coach Riggins Delaney could not be prouder of her team’s accomplishments.

“It was one of our goals before the season started to go undefeated during regular season play. With only two games left before the playoffs, we have achieved that goal,” Delaney added.

Several seniors wish to continue playing soccer after high school ends.

Reghan Kelly, a senior on the team, has signed to play for the University of South Florida in the upcoming year.

“Being part of this team has made me feel like a part of a family and with this I am ready to start a new family at USF,” said Kelly.

When asked what she wanted to say to the seniors, Riggins said, “My biggest piece of advice would be to live in the moment and enjoy every new chapter of life.”
