(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS softball team will hold tryouts at 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23 and Tuesday, Jan. 24 at the LRHS softball fields.

After tryouts on Tuesday, the coaches will individually meet with the players and put them on their varsity and junior varsity (JV) teams.

Senior Olivia Ryan said, “I am looking forward to my senior season and being with my teammates for one last year.”

Head Coach Todd Lee said, “There are several factors that go into deciding the team roster. Of course, you look for the obvious in players like ability, strength, and speed. But we also look for girls who are high character people and are held to a high standard.”

Players will need to complete and turn in all necessary forms.

The forms include a physical, consent, and the insurance form, along with paying the insurance fee.

“I want all aspects of the program to continue as it has over the last few years. But I am most excited to see what this year’s group of girls can do this season,” Lee continued.
