(Lakewood Ranch, FL) – LRHS HOPE Ambassadors host campus clean-ups every Wednesday after school. They alternate between cleaning the courtyard and parking lot.
HOPE Ambassadors is a government funded organization which strives to provide kindness and compassion within school environments. LRHS was one of 100 schools in Florida who was chosen by state officials to obtain this club in 2019.
The campus clean-ups are a way for HOPE Ambassador club members to gain community service hours while improving the school surroundings.
Club President senior Olivia Heim said, “The campus clean-ups are a beneficial way to show that the students care for their campus.”
Heim believes the campus clean-ups help bring a certain livelihood to the school.

“Having a nice school can make people happier overall and boost the mood of the LRHS community,” Heim added.
HOPE Ambassadors organizes other events throughout the year such as spreading positivity and encouragement during the testing season and donating items to the less fortunate during the holidays.
The campus clean-ups will resume next Wednesday, Jan. 18.
