(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS girls flag football team is hosting their first meeting of the season at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17 in the gymnasium hallway.
This meeting will cover necessary paperwork, practice times, and the game schedule.
Flag football head coach and discipline assistant Elijah Weaver said, “Playing flag is an opportunity for those girls who have not played a sport at LRHS and a good way to get involved with athletics. No experience is needed to play.”
All interested Mustangs are encouraged to attend the meeting.
Tryouts are scheduled for Monday, Feb. 6.

A senior night will be held on Wednesday, Mar. 22 against Manatee High School (MHS).
“I enjoy teaching this game to girls. Football is not a boy’s sport, but a sport that can be enjoyed by all genders,” Weaver continued.
