(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) -The LRHS varsity wrestling team finished in fifth place on Dec. 30 at a team duals tournament at Parrish High School.

Sixteen teams participated in the event.

The Mustangs finished with a 4-1 record  –

  • Round # 1. LRHS 81 – Bell Creek Academy 0
  • Round #2 LRHS 76 – Mulberry HS 6
  • Round #3 LRHS 6 – Manatee HS 69
  • Round # 4 LRHS 43 – Sumner HS 33
  • Round #5 LRHS 42 – Weeki Watchee HS 40


Mustang head wrestling coach Patrick Ancil said, “Although we had a tough outing against Manatee, the boys wrestled tough and fought thru adversity winning rounds 4 and 5 and finishing the day in 5th place!”
