Junior Grace Shaw-Rockey said, “I was very excited when I got my second state championship ring. The feeling of being rewarded for accomplishing our goal feels just as good as last year, and I can’t wait to chase another ring.”

The team capped their 30-2 record for 2022 by defeating Lake Brantley High School 8-2 in the state championship game.

Additionally, they were ranked first in the state and third in the nation.

Even the seniors who graduated last year and are currently playing college softball came to celebrate and receive their rings.

The Mustangs won back-to-back state championships in 2021 and 2022, making this their second ring ceremony.
