(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently attended their Fall Leadership Conference.
On Friday, Nov. 18, 15 FBLA members traveled to Orlando to compete in the conference, the first this year.
This national conference created the opportunity for members of FBLA to develop both personally and professionally by taking part in workshops and networking sessions.
Florida hosted one of the two FBLA National Fall Leadership Conferences (NFLC).
“The FBLA Fall Leadership Conference is one of my favorite events to attend because students get to learn and participate without the pressure of competing,” said LRHS FBLA adviser and business teacher Sharelies Rodriquez.
“We get to participate in motivational general sessions, professional development, and career planning workshops,” continued Rodriquez.
Members of FBLA took away many memories, pictures, and new experiences. They got to learn new skills and use them in the real world.

Members were also happy to say they made new friends and had an amazing time at this conference. They were happy to experience the real world and work together.
FBLA members were excited to say that through the national conference, they were able to learn more about “March of Dimes,” an organization that supports the health of mothers and babies.
LRHS FBLA team plans to do events with March of Dimes and help raise money for the cause.
