The LRHS A-Team looks back on a successful 2022

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Academic A-Team is sending two Mustangs to states.

LRHS seniors Madelyn Hotaling and Hoang Pham will be part of the Manatee County A-Team at state competition.

To qualify for the state team, Mustangs needed to accumulate the most individual points over the course of the season.  The top six students move on to the state team.

LRHS A-Team adviser and Media Specialist Audrey Dombroski said, “It has been an absolute pleasure coaching all the amazing students on the A-team!

“Now, in the ‘off season’ we continue to practice for next year and the two students going to states will be intensely practicing starting in January with the other students on the state team,” continued Dombroski.

The A-Team finished their last meet at St. Stephens last Tuesday with the Green Team finished fifth and the Black Team finishing seventh out of 15 teams in the county.
