(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS welcomed the “Ranch Readers” book club to all Mustangs.
LRHS librarian Audrey Dombroski said, “I’m starting a new club after securing a Manatee Education Foundation grant. I started a book club at Southeast High where it was really successful.
“I love that I can give students the chance to get books for free that they enjoy reading. We read about three titles, and we won first place at the Battle of the Books and I’m hoping the club will succeed here just as much.”
The first meeting Is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 8 in the media center.
Members will have the opportunity to meet new people and discuss their favorite books together.
Book club members will have access to free books.
Club members will compete in the district’s Battle of the Books competition.

Battle of the Books is a voluntary, competitive reading incentive program for students. Mustangs will be asked questions about books in a competitive style.
The program’s goal is to encourage students to engage in new and great books with their peers. Mustangs can contact Dombroski with questions here.
