(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Clark Health Solutions is holding a seminar about teen stress and mindfulness for interested Mustangs.
Clark Health Solutions is a domestic non-profit company that looks out for students’ mental health.
The event is completely free and will be held from 11-3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 1710 Manatee Ave East.
LRHS sophomores Alivia Insixiengmay and Maggie Sugalski believe that stress could be helped by having assigned mental health days.
Insixiengmay said, “For one thing, I feel like the school should understand that mental health days are important and should not completely count against the student. I think that there should be days that teachers should not be allowed to assign homework, so students can get a break.”

Sugalski said, “If we had three mental health days for each quarter, I think a lot of students would perform better.”
Mustangs are encouraged to attend the seminar and learn more about their own mental health.
LRHS School counselor Melissa Alter said a student’s support network can help with stress.
“I’d say they deal with it by talking about it w/their family, friends, therapist, or others whom they have a connection with and many have mentioned using phone apps and breathing techniques,” she said,
