(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS is participating in National Education Week through Nov. 18.
National Education Week is recognized the week before Thanksgiving.
It was established in 1921 to celebrate the roots of American education, the achievements of public schools, and to honor those who contributed to improving education in the U.S.
The LRHS National Honors Society (NHS) will honor staff this week by purchasing 10 gift baskets to be awarded during the week.
All staff are included in the process and two random names will be pulled each day.
NHS adviser and English teacher Tracy Gregory said, “I want our staff to know that we recognize their contributions to making our school a conducive learning environment for all students.”

Gregory continued, “My hope is that by celebrating all members of staff on our campus, we can bring awareness to these often-overlooked contributors to our great school and our students’ success.”
Students can celebrate this week by acknowledging their teachers.
Small acts such as thanking the staff will go a long way to making someone feel appreciated.
