Sara Cestero – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS “Mustangs Ahead” journalism program is partnering with PDQ Chicken for a Spirit Night fundraiser Tuesday.

Mustangs can show their support when ordering by telling the cashier they are there for “Mustangs Ahead,” or by showing them the flier.

The flier can also be found on the “Mustangs Ahead” Instagram.

This fundraiser is an all-day event and is very helpful in funding the costs of the Mustangs Ahead program.

“Mustangs Ahead” senior editor Jennifer Schillinger said, “I am very excited to participate in this fundraiser. Not only is it an excuse to get tasty food, but it is great to support the Journalism program here at LRHS.”

The money raised through this fundraiser goes towards the “Mustangs Ahead” website for technology, such as that used for podcasts and any other needs the program has.

“Since we are one of the main school Journalism programs in Manatee County, any help we receive is very appreciated and needed,” said “Mustangs Ahead” outreach coordinator junior Tess Lippincott.

Adviser Thomas Honsa said, “This is another way we can connect with our readers; we appreciate their support throughout the entire year and especially through this fundraiser.”
