Lucas Viera – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS varsity football team lost to the Booker Tornadoes last Friday.

The final score was 43-39.

This game eliminated the Mustangs from playoff contention.

Emotions were high for the senior athletes as this was the last game of their season.

Senior Kevin Everhart said, “It’s difficult looking back at the game and realizing it was the last time I’d play on a high school field, but the memories I created with my teammates are irreplaceable.”

Everhart led the Mustangs with 112 rushing yards for the game, along with three touchdowns.

The Mustangs finished the season with a record of 6-4.

Mustang Head Coach Rashad West said, “The kids played hard and fought to give ourselves a chance late, but we came up short. It was certainly a disappointment.”
