(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS seniors enjoyed their first senior privilege of the 2022-2023 school year.

Seniors were given the privilege to walk to their lunch periods five minutes early today.

They also received a Class of 2023 lanyard.

Senior privileges have been a long-standing tradition at LRHS.

Past privileges include snack events, souvenirs, and early releases.

Senior Advisory Board (SAB) adviser and LRHS math teacher Ann Fleury said, “This is our most popular senior privilege because the seniors enjoy being first in line. It works out well for everyone because it shortens the lines later in each lunch period.”

Senior Jordyn Patterson said, “I was happy to get to lunch early and be able to get my lunch and talk to my friends for longer.”

School administration will schedule more privileges over the course of the year.

“These privileges enhance the senior year and make it more enjoyable,” Patterson continued.
